  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt Use plain for best results.
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Add more for sweeter brownies.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, sugar, cocoa powder, and eggs until smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

These brownies are best served warm or at room temperature. Customize by adding chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits. Store in an airtight container for up to four days, or in the freezer for three months.
