Dough Ingredients

  • 400 g 400 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 1 packet (7 g) active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon sugar

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1 cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup ½ cup powdered sugar Add more for a sweeter roll.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups 2 cups strawberries, sliced Can use frozen strawberries if thawed and drained.

Topping

  • 1 cup 1 cup whipped cream For serving.

Preparation and Dough Rising

  • In a bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and sugar.
  • Gradually add warm water until you form a dough.
  • Knead the dough until it is smooth, then let it rise until it doubles in size.

Filling Preparation

  • In another bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Rolling and Baking

  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle the sliced strawberries on top.
  • Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into rolls.
  • Place the rolls in a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm, topped with whipped cream.

Notes

These rolls are best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
