  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the crushed pineapple, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

  • Serve on its own or with a sprinkle of powdered sugar, whipped cream, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes
