Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese Use thick cream cheese for a creamy sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Add extra cheddar on top if desired
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped Can be omitted for a lighter version
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced For garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste Add after shredding the chicken

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the chicken.
  • Cut the cream cheese into cubes and place it on top of the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

Finishing

  • Once cooked, shred the chicken and mix everything together.
  • Stir in the cheddar cheese and bacon, and let it melt.
  • Garnish with green onions and serve on buns, over rice, or with your favorite sides.

Notes

Cool the chicken to room temperature, then place it in an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
