  • 1 small onion, chopped Adds flavor to the beef mixture.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper, mixing well.

Assembly

  • Spread the beef mixture in a casserole dish and top with a layer of tater tots.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the tater tots.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.

Notes

Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before serving. This helps it set and cuts cleanly. Can be paired with a green salad or steamed vegetables.
