Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 10 cups All-Purpose Flour Use high-quality flour for best results.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Enhances flavor and sweetness.
  • 1.5 tablespoons Active Dry Yeast Ensure yeast is fresh for a successful rise.
  • 2 teaspoons Salt Balances sweetness and adds flavor depth.
  • 2 cups Warm Water Temperature should be around 110°F (43°C).
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil Adds moisture and tenderness.

Instructions

Mixing the Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of warm water, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and 1.5 tablespoons of active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.

Adding Flour and Salt

  • Gradually stir in 5 cups of all-purpose flour and 2 teaspoons of salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Kneading the Dough

  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 7-10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.

First Rise

  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for approximately 1 hour or until it’s doubled in size.

Shaping the Loaves

  • After the first rise, divide the dough into two portions and shape them into loaves. Place these into greased 9×5-inch loaf pans.

Second Rise

  • Cover the loaf pans with a cloth and allow the dough to rise for an additional 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the loaves for 30-35 minutes, or until they’re beautifully golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
