  • 1 container 8 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2.5 cups shredded coconut
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 can 8 ounce can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 can 8 ounce can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 can 11 ounce can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 3 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 jar 10 ounce jar maraschino cherries, drained (optional) Optional for added sweetness and color
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the thawed frozen whipped topping, shredded coconut, chopped walnuts, drained fruit cocktail, drained pineapple chunks, and drained mandarin oranges.
  • Add the miniature marshmallows to the mixture.
  • If you’re using maraschino cherries, add them to the mix.
  • Sprinkle the ground nutmeg and ground cinnamon over the ingredients.
  • Mix everything together thoroughly.
  • Refrigerate the Ambrosia Fruit Salad for 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy once it’s had its time in the fridge.
