Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1 cup Graham cracker crumbs Finely crushed
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Melted

For the filling

  • 16 oz Cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Lemon zest Freshly grated

Instructions
 

Preparation of the crust

  • In a food processor or by hand, finely crush the graham crackers.
  • Combine the crushed graham crackers with melted butter to form a crust mixture.
  • Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the base of your baking pan to form an even crust.

Preparation of the filling

  • In a large bowl, blend the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  • Incorporate the eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon zest into the cream cheese mixture, stirring until well combined.
  • Pour the cream cheese filling onto the prepared graham cracker crust.

Baking and cooling

  • Bake the Cream Cheese Squares in a preheated oven until the filling is set and the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the squares to cool at room temperature, and then refrigerate them for a few hours until fully set.

Notes

Serve with fresh fruit topping, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate for added indulgence.
