Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef You can also use other types of ground meat.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs Bind the ingredients together.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Meatloaf Glaze

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, diced onions, bell peppers, minced garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix everything together until well combined.

Baking

  • Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and shape it into a loaf. You can also use a loaf pan for a more defined shape.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Glazing

  • Prepare a glaze by mixing ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Brush this glaze over the meatloaf during the last 15 minutes of baking.

Serving

  • Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain its juices.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans, or a fresh salad. Don’t forget to spoon some extra glaze over slices of meatloaf before serving.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure your meatloaf is cooked through. Experiment with different seasonings and vegetables to create your unique meatloaf.
