Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 3 cups dry elbow macaroni Cook until al dente

Dairy

  • 4 tablespoons salted butter Melted and mixed with macaroni
  • 2 cans evaporated milk (370 mL/12 oz each)
  • 1/3 cup milk of your choice
  • 2 large eggs

Seasoning

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For sprinkling on top

Cheese

  • 4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions
 

Preparing the Macaroni

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add salt.
  • Add the dry elbow macaroni and cook until al dente.
  • Drain the cooked macaroni and return it to the pot.
  • Add salted butter to the macaroni and stir until melted. Set aside.

Preparing the Milk Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine the evaporated milk, your choice of milk, eggs, and garlic salt.
  • Mix until fully combined.

Assembling the Layers

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Layer 1/3 of the macaroni in the baking pan.
  • Add 1/3 of the cheese mixture on top of the macaroni.
  • Repeat the layering process with the remaining macaroni and cheese mixture.

Baking the Mac and Cheese

  • Pour the milk mixture evenly over the layered macaroni and cheese.
  • Sprinkle paprika on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.
  • Scoop out generous portions and enjoy.
