Ingredients
  

For the Casserole

  • 1.5 lb Ground beef Use lean ground beef for best results.
  • 2 pieces Bell peppers, chopped Any color bell pepper can be used.
  • 0.5 pieces Onion, chopped Use yellow or white onion.
  • 2 tsp Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Seasoned salt Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese Other cheeses can be substituted if desired.
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 0.25 cup Heavy whipping cream Can substitute with half-and-half.
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, start by browning the ground beef. Break it into small pieces as it cooks.
  • When the meat is partially browned, add the chopped onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook until meat is completely browned and vegetables soften.
  • Add the seasoned salt and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for another 30 seconds. Drain any excess grease.
  • In a well-greased 9x9 baking dish, layer the beef mixture at the bottom.
  • Top the beef with the provolone cheese slices.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the heavy whipping cream, Worcestershire sauce, and eggs. Pour over the beef and cheese in the baking dish.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through and the top is golden brown.

Serving

  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes, then slice it into portions and serve.

Notes

This casserole is perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or any occasion. For extra flavor, consider adding mushrooms or other seasonings to the meat mixture.
