For the fudge base

  • 40 pieces Reese's full-size peanut butter cups Use fresh and flavorful cups for best results.
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces)
  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream

Preparation

  • Line a 9x9-inch pan with aluminum foil and lightly spray it with nonstick spray.
  • Create a base layer with 16 peanut butter cups and add halved cups along the edges for full coverage.
  • Slice the remaining 20 peanut butter cups into quarters or crumble them and set aside for later.

Cooking

  • In a 1.5 to 2-quart heavy-bottom saucepan, combine chocolate chips, heavy cream, and sweetened condensed milk. Heat on low, stirring until smooth.
  • Spread the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter cup base and sprinkle the sliced or crumbled cups on top, pressing lightly.

Cooling and Serving

  • Let the fudge cool to room temperature for 30 minutes, cover with cling film, and refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes to set.
  • Once set, slice the fudge into squares and serve.

Notes

Store any leftover Reese's Peanut Butter Fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Consider garnishing with additional peanut butter cups or cocoa powder for presentation.
