Ingredients
  

For the Taco Shells

  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted for brushing on tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating

For the Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened for a smooth filling
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract use high-quality for best flavor

For the Topping

  • 1 cup cherry pie filling opt for premium quality
  • Whipped cream and fresh cherries for garnish (optional) adds to the presentation

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350F (175C).
  • Brush both sides of each tortilla with melted butter.
  • In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over both sides of the tortillas.
  • Gently drape each tortilla over two bars of the oven rack to form a taco shell shape.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden and crisp.

Making the Filling

  • While the taco shells are baking, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Assembly

  • Once the taco shells are ready, spoon the cream cheese mixture into each shell.
  • Top with cherry pie filling, dividing evenly among the tacos.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and fresh cherries if desired.

Notes

Feel free to customize the toppings and fillings to suit your taste. Store leftover taco shells in an airtight container; reheat as needed.
