  • 2 pounds turkey wings
  • 2 cups buttermilk For marination

For the coating

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust to taste

Preparation

  • Place turkey wings in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let them soak for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.

Coating

  • Remove turkey wings from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Coat each wing thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture.

Frying

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large, deep pan to 350°F (177°C).
  • Carefully add the coated turkey wings, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 10-12 minutes.
