Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips Can substitute with dark chocolate chips for variations

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350F and grease a baking dish.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until well combined.
  • Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.

Mixing Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Assembling the Brownies

  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over the brownie batter, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  • Pour the remaining brownie batter over the caramel and chocolate chips, spreading it evenly to cover.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter. Use high-quality cocoa powder for a rich chocolate flavor. Experiment with different types of chocolate chips for added texture.
