Ingredients

Crab Legs and Butter Sauce

  • 2 lbs crab legs, thawed if frozen
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Add for heat and spice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preparing the Butter Sauce

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in the minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Adjust according to taste.

Baking the Crab Legs

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the crab legs in a single layer in a large baking dish. If they are too large, you can break them at the joints to fit.
  • Generously brush the crab legs with the prepared butter sauce, ensuring every part is well-coated.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until fully heated through.
  • Serve immediately, with extra butter sauce for dipping.

Notes

Serve with lemon wedges, fresh parsley, and garlic bread for soaking up the butter sauce. Store leftover crab legs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat in the oven at 275°F (135°C) until just warmed through.
