Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (1 ounce)
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts. Trim off any excess fat.

Cooking

  • Lay the chicken breasts flat in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the chicken.
  • Place the softened cream cheese on top of the seasoned chicken.
  • Pour the chicken broth over the chicken, then add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for about 4 hours or low for approximately 6 hours.
  • Once done, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
  • Stir well to mix the chicken with the creamy ranch sauce.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top and let it sit for 5 minutes to allow cheese to melt.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Consider using chicken thighs for more flavor. Cook bacon ahead for extra crispness. For a healthier twist, use Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese.
