  • 1 cup chicken broth Keeps the chicken moist.

For the Alfredo sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream Use fresh for best results.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated melts better.

For serving

  • 2 cups fettuccine pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup frozen peas Optional addition.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Optional for serving.

Preparation

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the crockpot.
  • Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Pour the chicken broth over the seasoned chicken.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and return it to the crockpot.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese and stir well.
  • Pour the Alfredo sauce over the shredded chicken and stir gently.
  • Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions and add to the crockpot.
  • Gently toss everything together and let it cook for an additional 15-20 minutes on low.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired.
