Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts Quality chicken is recommended for best flavor.
  • ½ cup Buffalo wing sauce Adjust according to your heat preference.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Used for cooking the chicken.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper To taste.

For the Sliders

  • 12 pieces slider buns Preferably brioche or potato buns.
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese Essential for flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup ranch dressing Optional for drizzling.

Optional Toppings

  • Sliced jalapeños
  • Chopped green onions
  • Extra Buffalo wing sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, combine the chicken breasts, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure the chicken is coated evenly.

Cooking the Chicken

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the seasoned chicken breasts. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Once cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

Shredding the Chicken

  • Using two forks or your hands, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Place the shredded chicken back into the skillet and add the Buffalo wing sauce. Stir to coat the chicken evenly and heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Preparing the Slider Buns

  • While the chicken is heating, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on the baking sheet.

Assembling the Sliders

  • Evenly distribute the Buffalo chicken mixture on each bun. Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese on top of the chicken, followed by shredded lettuce. If desired, drizzle ranch dressing for added creaminess.

Finishing Up

  • Place the top halves of the buns over the assembled sliders. Lightly brush the tops of the buns with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and warmed through.

Serving

  • Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for a minute before slicing and serving. Enjoy your Buffalo Chicken Blue Cheese Sliders with extra napkins on hand!

Notes

Pro Tips: Use quality fresh chicken, adjust the heat as desired, don’t skip the blue cheese, and let the chicken rest before shredding. Make-ahead options are available by preparing chicken and toppings the day before.
