  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Add the chicken wings to the bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the rack.

Baking

  • Bake the wings for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, flip the wings over to ensure they cook evenly, then return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Whisk together until fully mixed.

Finishing

  • Once the wings are done cooking and are golden brown, remove them from the oven. Transfer to a clean bowl and pour the lemon and butter mixture over them. Toss gently to coat every wing.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, ensure wings are dry before cooking for extra crispiness. Try double-baking for an even crunchier texture.
