  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter Melted before mixing
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Melted into the mixture
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor enhancement
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional Toppings

  • 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles or mini M&Ms For topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large pot over low heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until melted and well combined.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and salt until well incorporated.
  • Gradually fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly and pressing it down firmly.
  • Optionally sprinkle chocolate sprinkles or mini M&Ms on top.
  • Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes or refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Once set, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best texture. Customize with different chocolates or add nuts for an extra crunch.
