Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Choose fresh shrimp for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter Use half butter for a healthier option.
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for the best taste.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust to taste for desired spiciness.
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice of one lemon
  • fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a bowl, combine the paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Allow to marinate for about 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until pink and caramelized, then flip and cook an additional 2 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, add the minced garlic, and stir quickly to prevent burning, cooking for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the remaining butter and lemon juice to the skillet, stir to combine, and cook for another minute.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat.
