Instructions
 

Prepare the Pretzel Crust

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the pretzels are evenly coated.
  • Transfer the pretzel mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish, pressing firmly to form a compact crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until slightly golden. Let it cool completely.

Make the Cream Cheese Layer

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping until combined, then spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.

Prepare the Cherry Layer

  • In another bowl, mix the cherry pie filling with fresh or frozen cherries and lemon juice. Spread the cherry mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.

Chill the Salad

  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.
