  • 2 cups mixed berries Fresh mixed berries can be customized.
  • 2 cups whipped cream Homemade whipped cream is recommended for better flavor.
  • 2 cups cake cubes Light sponge cake or pound cake works well.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Optional, adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Start by layering the cake cubes at the bottom of a large clear bowl or individual serving glasses.
  • Next, add a layer of whipped cream followed by a layer of mixed berries.
  • Repeat these layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and some berries on top.
  • Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

For best taste, serve chilled. Cover leftovers with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to three days. Soggy cake can occur if left too long.
