  • 2 cups chicken, cooked and shredded Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • 2 cups tater tots
  • 1/2 cup cream soup Can be substituted with mushroom soup if needed.
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded Experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 1/2 cup milk

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the chicken, cream soup, and milk together until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  • Top the chicken mixture with tater tots and sprinkle cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

Notes

Serve hot straight from the oven. Pairs well with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Can use various proteins or create a vegetarian version with beans or lentils. Allow leftovers to cool, cover tightly, and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat at 180°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes. You can also freeze the unbaked casserole for up to 2 months.
