Ingredients

For the Ribs

  • 2 pounds baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) for heat

For the Sticky Glaze

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry.
  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a sharp knife.
  • In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper, then rub evenly over the ribs.
  • Place the seasoned ribs on aluminum foil, drizzle olive oil, wrap tightly, sealing edges.

Cooking

  • Bake the wrapped ribs for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  • Prepare the sticky glaze by combining all glaze ingredients in a saucepan and simmering for 10-15 minutes.
  • After baking, unwrap ribs, then grill or broil them for a few minutes with glaze.
  • Cook glazed ribs for an additional 10-15 minutes, turning frequently, until glaze is sticky and slightly charred.

Serving

  • Let ribs rest for a few minutes, cut into portions, and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

For the best texture, cook at low temperatures and consider marinating in the dry rub overnight for deeper flavor. Save extra glaze for serving on the side.
