Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices bread (your choice: sourdough, whole grain, etc.)
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese
  • 1 slice mozzarella cheese
  • 1 slice gruyere cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Butter the Bread: Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Layer the Cheeses: On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the cheddar, then mozzarella, and finally gruyere. Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
  • Grill the Sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the sandwich and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, pressing down lightly with a spatula until golden brown and melty.
  • Serve Hot: Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Cut in half and serve immediately.

Notes

Use a mix of cheeses for depth of flavor; experiment with your favorites.
For added flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like basil or thyme.
Adjust the heat if the bread is browning too quickly to ensure the cheese melts thoroughly.
