  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp non-alcoholic vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Beat softened butter with brown and granulated sugar until creamy
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until incorporated
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients
  • Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed
  • Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft
  • Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks

Notes

Use room temperature butter for best texture
Don’t overmix after adding flour to maintain tenderness
