  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Prepare bundt pan by greasing it well
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder
  • In another bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
  • Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition; stir in vanilla extract
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, alternating with milk. Start and end with dry ingredients, mixing until just combined
  • Pour batter into bundt pan, smoothing the top with a spatula
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  • Cool in pan for 10-15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely
