Ingredients

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add bowtie pasta and cook until al dente (10-12 minutes). Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  • Melt 2 tbsp butter in the same pot over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  • Return drained pasta to the pot. Add grated Parmesan, reserved pasta water, and season with salt and pepper. Toss until the cheese melts into a smooth, creamy sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Salt the pasta water generously to enhance flavor.
Use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta for dietary modifications.
Add vitamins like spinach or tomatoes for a healthier twist.
For dairy-free, substitute Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
Store leftovers in an airtight container fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat gently in oven or microwave.
