Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear meatballs on all sides for 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Pour marinara sauce into the skillet. Return meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 15 minutes, covered.
  • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Serve the meatballs and sauce over spaghetti, garnished with Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

Use lean ground turkey for juicier meatballs.
Freeze uncooked meatballs for later use; add 5-7 minutes to simmering time.
Sauté garlic in olive oil before adding to the meat mixture for deeper flavor.
Stir chopped spinach or bell peppers into the sauce for added nutrients.
