Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs beef ribs (or chicken ribs for a lighter option)
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C)
  • Rinse ribs under cold water and pat dry
  • Mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl
  • Rub spice mixture on both sides of ribs
  • Drizzle olive oil over ribs and massage to coat
  • Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet, cover tightly with additional foil, and bake for 2 hours
  • Remove foil, brush with honey BBQ sauce, and increase oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes until sauce caramelizes
  • Let rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve

Notes

For more flavor, marinate ribs overnight in the spice rub wrapped in plastic
Use chicken ribs for a leaner protein option
Serve with grilled corn, potato salad, or steamed rice
