Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bite-sized chicken pieces and season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown.
  • Once the chicken is done, add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute, stirring frequently to avoid burning the garlic.
  • Add the asparagus to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender but still crisp.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, sear the chicken until golden brown before adding garlic and asparagus.
Prevent overcooking asparagus—it should remain crisp-tender to preserve color and nutrients.
Use high-quality heavy cream for maximum richness; half-and-half can be a lighter alternative.
