Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 mix)
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional toppings: pickles, lettuce, tomato, extra BBQ sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Combine ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl
  • Divide into 12 portions and form into patties
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear patties 2-3 minutes per side
  • Transfer to a baking dish, add BBQ sauce and cheese, cover with foil, and bake 10 minutes
  • Remove foil and bake 5 minutes until golden
  • Toast buns in skillet or oven
  • Assemble sliders with patties, cheese, and optional toppings

Notes

Use 80/20 beef for juiciness
Try pepper jack cheese for spice
Searing adds depth of flavor
Let rest 2 minutes before serving
