  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Roll mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs 7-10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Pour marinara sauce over browned meatballs. Simmer 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet with meatballs and sauce. Toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella over the pasta and meatballs. Cover and cook 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Garnish with fresh basil (if using) and serve warm.

Notes

For a crispy meatball texture, refrigerate mixture 15 minutes before forming.
Use store-bought marinara with no added alcohol.
Leftovers freeze well for up to 3 months; thaw and reheat gently.
