Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C)
  • Rinse beef ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels
  • In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper to make the spice rub
  • Generously rub the spice mixture all over the beef ribs, ensuring full coverage
  • Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil
  • Place wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Unwrap ribs, brush liberally with BBQ sauce, and return to the oven (unwrapped) for an additional 15-20 minutes
  • Remove from oven, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice between the bones and serve

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to verify an internal temperature of at least 145°F.
Marinate ribs in the spice rub for 4+ hours or overnight for enhanced flavor and tenderness.
Adjust BBQ sauce sweetness by adding more brown sugar or honey if desired.
