Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • ½ cup hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
 

  • Wash and pat chicken wings dry with paper towels
  • In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
  • Coat the wings in the flour mixture until fully covered
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F
  • Fry the wings in batches for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy
  • Drain on paper towels
  • Combine hot sauce and melted butter in a bowl
  • Toss the fried wings in the sauce until well coated

Notes

Double coat with an egg wash for extra crunch
Let coated wings rest 10–15 minutes before frying
Monitor oil temperature with a thermometer
Adjust cayenne pepper for desired heat level
