Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian herbs (oregano, thyme, basil)
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for crunch)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Beat the egg in a shallow bowl and set aside
  • In another bowl, mix Parmesan, Italian herbs, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs (if using)
  • Evenly pound chicken breasts to 1/2-inch thickness
  • Season each chicken with salt and pepper
  • Dip into egg, then coat with Parmesan mixture, pressing firmly
  • Place on parchment-lined baking sheet
  • Bake 30 minutes until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F
  • Let rest before serving

Notes

Use fresh herbs for a vibrant flavor (adjust quantity)
Chill coated chicken 15 minutes for better crust adhesion
Experiment with Pecorino Romano or other cheeses for depth
