  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using) in a large bowl
  • Add mashed bananas, crushed pineapple, eggs, and vanilla extract; stir until just combined
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth with a spatula
  • Bake 30-35 minutes until a toothpick tests clean
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
  • Frost with cream cheese frosting or dust with powdered sugar once cooled
