Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on or skinless)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
  • Combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, ginger (if using), black pepper, and salt in a bowl
  • Marinate chicken thighs in a zip-lock bag with the mixture for 15 minutes (ideally up to 2 hours)
  • Place chicken in a baking dish and pour remaining marinade over the top
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C)
  • Let rest, then drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with cilantro before serving

Notes

For deeper flavor, refrigerate marinated chicken overnight
Broil for 5 minutes for crispy skin
