  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray or line it with parchment paper
  • Mash ripe bananas until smooth in a large mixing bowl
  • Add melted butter and mix until creamy
  • Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined
  • Sprinkle baking soda and salt, then stir until just combined
  • Gradually add flour, mixing gently to avoid overmixing
  • Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan, spreading evenly
  • Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
