  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk alternative)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for 30 minutes to 4 hours
  • Mix flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl
  • Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (180°C)
  • Dredge each tender in the flour mixture until fully coated
  • Fry tenders in batches for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F)
  • Combine leftover spice mixture with 2 tablespoons hot oil and pour over cooked tenders
  • Serve immediately with pickles or dipping sauce
