Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup vanilla cake, cubed (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for homemade whipped cream)

Instructions
 

  • Toss sliced strawberries with granulated sugar in a bowl; let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.
  • For whipped cream, chill a bowl, then whip heavy cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  • Place cubed cake in the bottom of each serving glass.
  • Layer macerated strawberries followed by whipped cream in the glasses.
  • Repeat layers, finishing with whipped cream and a few sliced strawberries as garnish.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
