Ingredients

Pasta and Base

  • 3 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)

Dressing

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

Vegetables

  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped

Seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool the pasta quickly.
  • While the pasta cooks, finely chop the celery. Set aside.

Dressing Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and white vinegar. Stir until smooth and well blended.

Combine and Season

  • Add the cooled macaroni and chopped celery to the bowl with the dressing. Gently toss until all the pasta is evenly coated.
  • Taste and add salt and pepper as needed. Adjust the seasoning to your liking.

Chill

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until thoroughly chilled. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.

Notes

For best results, don't overcook the pasta and chill before serving.
