Preparation

  • Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the crockpot.
  • Pour the BBQ sauce over the chicken.

Cooking

  • Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  • Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, always use chicken thighs as they stay moist during cooking. Optionally, add sliced onions or peppers for added flavor. To thicken the sauce, remove the chicken before serving and let the sauce cook for an additional 15 minutes without the lid.
