  • 1/4 cup honey Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic preferred
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For cooking
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning

For Serving

  • Cooked rice or fresh vegetables Optional garnish with sliced green onions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the chicken breasts.
  • Pour the honey-soy mixture over the chicken.
  • Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until chicken is cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve with cooked rice or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the chicken for juiciness. You can marinate the chicken in the honey-soy mixture for better flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
