Ingredients
  

For the marinade

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar Use honey for a sweeter taste.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Main ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • Steamed rice For serving
  • Mixed vegetables (e.g., broccoli, carrots, bell peppers) For serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey (or brown sugar), sesame oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  • Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.

Cooking

  • Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  • Remove chicken from the marinade and grill or bake for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken hot, alongside steamed rice and mixed vegetables. Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.

Notes

Let the chicken cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the cooked chicken for later use. For additional flavor, marinate overnight and ensure even cooking by preheating the grill or oven well. Try adding different spices for heat or substitute chicken breasts with thighs if preferred.
