Creamy Topping

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon sweet or smoked paprika Adjust based on taste preference.
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Can be substituted with mozzarella.
  • Optional: chopped parsley or chives for garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Pat chicken breasts dry, season with salt and pepper, and arrange in the baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.

Baking

  • Spread the creamy topping evenly over each chicken breast, covering completely.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes until chicken reaches 165 °F (74 °C) and topping is bubbly and golden.
  • Optionally broil for 2 to 3 minutes at the end for extra color, watching carefully.

Serving

  • Let chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Serve with a side of rice, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 4 days.
