Ingredients
  

Pasta and Shrimp

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce Base

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter For sautéing the garlic.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Add to the skillet after shrimp.
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for best flavor.

Seasoning and Garnish

  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • chopped parsley for garnish Add just before serving.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combining and Serving

  • Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat gently on the stove, adding a splash of cream if necessary. Make sure not to overcook the shrimp, and consider adding crushed red pepper for heat.
