  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  • In another bowl, mix warm water, milk, and vegetable oil.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.

Rising

  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces.

Shaping

  • Flatten each piece and place a few chocolate chips in the center.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.

Steaming

  • Place the buns on a parchment-lined steaming tray, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Steam the buns for about 15 minutes until cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve warm, allowing the chocolate to ooze out when bitten into.
